20.10.2023

OncoEscape researchers Prof. Ian Frew and Prof. Melanie Börries, together with Prof. Marc Timmers, Prof. Christian Gratzke and Prof. Roland Schüle from Freiburg, as well as colleagues from the Uniklinik Aachen and Uniklinik Tübingen have received 4,3 million Euros from the DFG to establish the UcarE (Urothelial Carcinoma Epigenetics) Research Unit. This new research network will investigate the effects of mutations of epigenetic regulatory genes on the formation and progression of bladder cancer and seeks to identify new therapeutic targets for aggressive urothelial carcinomas. The bladder cancer research efforts of UcarE will generate new research synergies with OncoEscape.
